HTC Desire Eye vs HTC One M8

The main differences between the HTC One M8 and the HTC Desire Eye are the build and the cameras. On the build front the HTC One M8 is the clear winner, with its metal styling trumping the HTC Desire Eye’s plastic construction, though the Desire Eye is water resistant which the One M8 isn’t.
When it comes to camera it’s the HTC Desire Eye which is the winner lenovo S939 , but not by much, it’s debatable whether the superior low light performance of the HTC One M8 or the greater detail of the HTC Desire Eye is preferable, but the respective qualities of their front-facing cameras is less open to debate and the Desire Eye wins there.
Otherwise they’re much the same, with the same amount of power, the same storage, similar size batteries and similar screens, thought the one on the HTC Desire Eye is ever so slightly bigger.
Finally there’s the price. Shop around and you can get the HTC One M8 for around £400, though many places charge closer to £500. The price of the HTC Desire Eye hasn’t yet been confirmed, but it’s likely to be a little cheaper, probably coming in at around £350-£400.
So they’re a well matched pair and it really comes down to whether you’d rather have a good selfie camera or a premium build.
HTC started the year with a bang with the HTC One M8, a stylish superphone that still compares well to the competition, but after that it stayed fairly quiet and has arguably only released one handset of any real note since.
We’re talking of course about the HTC Desire Eye, a phone which compromises on build but delivers similarly high end specs and a class leading selfie camera. So how do these two phones compare? Read on to find out.
The HTC One M8 is a stunning phone, with a gently curved aluminium frame that looks great and allows it to fit snugly in your hand. There’s hardly any plastic to the thing, just metal and glass. It’s not slim though at 146.4 x 70.6 x 9.4mm and nor is it particularly light at 160g.
The HTC Desire Eye doesn't look as premium or stylish. The shape is broadly similar, but it’s made of plastic rather than metal, though it rocks a rather eye catching two tone colour scheme at least and it’s solidly built. At 151.7 x 73.8 x 8.5mm and 154g it’s also slightly slimmer and lighter than the HTC One M8 and unlike its older sibling it’s IPX7 certified water resistant.
Of the two though we’d still pick the HTC One M8 every time when it comes to design and build, as even now it’s still one of the best looking phones around.
The HTC One M8 has a 5.0 inch 1080 x 1920 display with a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch, while the HTC Desire Eye has a 5.2 inch 1080 x 1920 screen with a pixel density of 424 pixels per inch. So it’s a little larger and a little less sharp, but otherwise there’s little to choose between the two, with both delivering crisp visuals and good contrast. Neither phone has one of the best screens around but they’re both fairly impressive.
The HTC One M8 has a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM and so does the HTC Desire Eye so they’re exactly as powerful as each other, especially considering that they also both run Android overlaid with HTC’s Sense interface.
There’s nothing to choose here then but rest assured that both phones are very powerful, though neither of them quite have top tier specs.
This is where the real differences come in. The HTC One M8 has a 4 UltraPixel camera with a separate depth sensor, it has a dual-LED flash, can shoot video in 1080p at 60fps and has a 5 megapixel secondary camera. It’s not one of the best camera phones around but it’s not bad at all and is particularly impressive in low light.
The HTC Desire Eye on the other hand has a 13 megapixel main camera with a dual-LED flash. There’s no separate depth sensor and as the pixels are smaller it’s not as good in low light as the HTC One M8, but it performs better in daylight and images come out with slightly more detail. Although it's not quite as good at recording video, as it’s capped at 1080p at 30fps.
HTC Desire Eye - Camera
However the HTC Desire Eye also has a 13 megapixel front-facing camera which again has a dual-LED flash. That makes it one of the best front-facing phone cameras available and in turn makes it ideal for video calls and selfies, especially as it has a wide-angle lens and a bunch of selfie centric modes.
The HTC One M8 has a 2600 mAh battery quoted for up to 496 hours of standby time or 20 hours of talk time, while the HTC Desire Eye has a marginally smaller 2400 mAh battery which should be able to last for up to 538 hours on standby or 20 hours of talk time, so its battery life is actually marginally better overall.
Both phones come with 16GB of storage along with a microSD card lenovo S8 slot which supports cards of up to 128GB and both phones support Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, while the HTC One M8 also has an infrared blaster.

Sony Xperia Z2 Vs. Galaxy S5 Vs. HTC One M8 Vs. LG G3

Putting the Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and the Sony Xperia Z2 together with the G3, it is disappointing to say that LG's smartphone lenovo S860 is the worst when it comes to power efficiency. A test was conducted to see which of the four offered the best battery life and Sony triumph against all.
In the test, the phones were put together to run a script on a continuous basis. The G3 lasted for 6hours and 14 minutes. This is followed by the One M8 at 7hrs 12mins, the Galaxy S5 at 7hrs 38mins and the Xperia Z2 at 8hrs 10mins.
On the bright side of things, it only takes the G3 120minutes to get fully charged again. The Z2 requires 212minutes which is almost double the time of the G3.
All in all, power is an important aspect of a smartphone. Hence, Sony wins as Xperia Z2 is the most power efficient smartphone in the market today.
In this day and age wherein nearly every smartphone can provide its users almost anything what they want, it is no longer a surprise if the phone ends up drained by the end of the day. If you think you are an exhaustive phone user, below is your guide in finding the best smartphone that will fill your needs.
The latest LG G3 is full of great things. From an expert's point of view, the smartphone is truly revolutionary as it outpaces and outclasses its competitors.
While there is no denying that fact, there are some parts of the LG G3 that is not as good as its rivals lenovo A806 . One of them is the battery. The LG G3 might be equipped with a huge 3000mAh battery but no thanks to its QHD screen, the power consumption is at a whole new level.

Huawei Honor 6 Review

Featuring a big 5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels Lenovo K920 , the Huawei Honor 6 will never let you run out of screen space. The HD resolution is the icing on the cake which has a massive pixel density of 445 pixels per inch. The brightness levels are excellent but the phone lacks the best viewing angles because it has no IPS display. Playing games is always fun because of the increased yet compact screen size you get and you can even conveniently watch movies which doubles it up as a good entertainment device as well.
The Huawei phone is powered by a Krin 920 Octa core processor with a massive 3GB of RAM and it uses Mali T628 MP4 graphics processing unit. That’s really good on paper and it shows in real life too. The phone is snappy to use in most situations and can easily withstand any app you throw it. It also handles 1080p videos easily, resource rich games and multi-tasking effortlessly. We didn’t find any lagging in the phone so far and it is definitely a great device for daily usage. You can rely it on for all your activities.
A strong 13 megapixel camera with dual LED flash is integrated in the back which is one of the weakest points of the device. Just don’t expect it to create some amazing pictures because most of them even in brightly lit conditions looked washed out and didn’t reproduce colors or clarity as we wanted it to. While the device excels in almost every other area, this is something of a drawback that you have to put up with.
The 3100 mAh battery can last even more than a day if you use it normally and will go below it, if you are a power user. Use the battery saving mode if you like to gain more juice out of it.
The Huawei Honor 6 priced within Rs 20,000 has some great highlights including the exclusive user interface, great looking display and ample RAM that makes its processes just awesome! The design looks good and shows excellent performance which makes it a must buy if you looking for a phone at this price point.
The smartphone market is becoming increasingly crowded with a lot of new manufacturers jumping into the race yet the Indian market is always open to embrace new arrivals, if they are good and has a justified price tag. First, it was Moto G and the Xiaomi that took the top position. Now, the question is will the Huawei Honor 6 be able to take the market by storm and make heads turns? Let’s explore its potential and specific advantages over other models.
The Huawei Honor 6 is a physically impressive phone because it looks really good with a premium white finish and has metal chassis on the sides lenovo A708t. The design is minimalistic yet the sleek form of the phone and its mere 130 grams of weight makes it a great choice for people who love sleek devices. It resembles a lot of the iPhone 4 but it is a given that inspirations often come from Apple. Buttons and ports are ideally placed whereas the back is glossy which sometimes leads to a very unsure grip.

Samsung Galaxy Avant vs. Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. Samsung Galaxy S5

Both the newer Galaxy S5 and Avant come with the latest Android OS 4.4.2 KitKat lenovo s930 , stock included in it. The Galaxy S4, however, was released with the Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, which was upgraded to Android 4.3 and is now upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The Galaxy S4 comes with an Octa-Core chipset known as the Exynos 5 Octa 5410.
It includes a quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex A-15 processor along with a 1.2GHz quad core Cortex A7 processor included in it. Compared to this, the Galaxy S5 has a quad-core chipset known as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. The CPU is a Quad Core 2.5 GHz Krait 400, which has a massive performance capability. This is quite superior to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Avant.
The Galaxy Avant has a weaker Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Chipset with a 1.2GHz Cortex A7 CPU in it. In the graphics department, we can see that the Galaxy S4 comes with a PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU. The Galaxy S5 has a high-performance Adreno 330 GPU in it while the Avant has a weaker and older Adreno 305.
Samsung Galaxy Avant vs Samsung Galaxy S4 vs Samsung Galaxy S5
In the storage aspect, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has 16/32/64 GB internal memory variants and is further upgradable up to 64GB. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has only 16/32 GB internal memory variants. However, it can be expanded up to a massive 128GB with a micro SD card. Compared to these specs, the Avant has internal 16GB capacity and upgradable to 64GB with micro SD.
A certain section of Samsung Galaxy S4 users want to pitch their age-old smartphone against the newer, faster devices from the Korean electronics giant, to see how their smartphone fares against the newer and more powerful Samsung Galaxy S5. At the same time, a comparison of these flagship devices with the new Samsung Galaxy Avant should bring out the degree of their superiority compared to the latter, albeit a newer device.
Both the Galaxy S4 and the S5 have an AMOLED display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Galaxy S4 comes with a 5.0 inch display compared to the 5.1 inch display on the S5. The Galaxy S4 has a higher pixel resolution of 441ppi compared to the 432ppi in the S5.
Compared to both these devices, the Galaxy Avant comes with a lower resolution screen at 540 x 960 pixels lenovo A800 with an inferior 245ppi pixel density. The screen is also comparatively smaller at 4.5 inches. Both the Galaxy S4 and the S5 come with a full Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen for added protection.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Release Date

While it's almost certain that the popular G3 and G2 phones will be seeing the Lollipop update, LG has not released any word on when that could be. Official word to TechRadar was that the company has no update on "if/when Lenovo phone Android Lollipop will be coming to the LG G3," but it's a safe bet that its flagship Android device won't be ignored.
It's important to note that the G2 received the last update (4.4) around four months after release, so that may be a safe bet for Lollipop and the G3.
Sony, on the other hand, has been very forthcoming with news on Lollipop's inclusion on the Xperia Z line, going so far as to name each and every model that will see the update.
"We'll be making Sony Mobile's Android 'L' upgrade available for the entire premium Z series: including Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact," the post on Sony's official blog states. "Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition devices will be first up - we'll be back with more details on that soon."
As for an exact date, the company hasn't set anything in stone, but it does say that the update process will start at the "beginning of 2015 for the core Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series - continuing thereafter for all remaining devices above."
With Google's flagship Nexus devices on track to receive the newly detailed Android 5.0 Lollipop OS next month, the remaining Android users are excited about the possibility of getting the upgrade on their own devices soon. We detailed the possibilities with Samsung's Galaxy and Note device lines, but now it's time for the rest. When is Lollipop coming to your mobile device?
HTC has been very forthcoming with its update news than most other manufacturers, giving a specific window of time when we can expect updates to both the M8 and the M7.
"We will begin rolling out updates to the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) in regions worldwide within 90 days of receiving final software from Google, followed shortly thereafter by other One family members and select devices," according to a statement from the tech company. The other devices in the One family would include the One Mini, One Mini 2, One Max, One E8, One E8 Eye, and possibly its Desire smartphones, but that has yet to be confirmed.
Just last week, the HTC One M8 received its Bluetooth certification, lenovo A269i which points to Lollipop's Sense UI coming sooner than later. If the company follows through with the 90-day timetable, that means HTC One customers should expect to see Lollipop around late January.

HTC One M8 vs Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs Xiaomi Mi4 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs OnePlus One vs Sony Xperia Z3

For the HTC device we have a 5 inch display which uses a 1080 x 1920 resolution combined with a pixel density of 441 ppi. Apple has recently released the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and has been enjoying the device’s success quite a lot. However, the handset isn’t king of the market just yet, as there are still some devices out there that can stand up to the latest Apple flagship. These smartphones come with their own set of qualities that make them a worthy purchase, and we’re going to compare features and specifications as they are listed according to GSM Arena, too see which device you would be better off with.
The iPhone 6 Plus comes with a IPS LCD display which measures 5.5 inches. The screen uses a 1080 z 1920 resolution and a 401 ppi pixel density. Samsung’s Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Note 3

In concordance with Christian Today, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the mentioned Samsung devices will come with bug fixes, security enhancements along with other specific tweaks. The users will need to have 285MB lenovo A708t of free space, as the Android update requires 285MB to update to the 4.4.4 KitKat version. Also, they need to have a secure connection and sufficient battery to avoid installment problems occurred due to the low battery (device shutdown, etc).

When your device will be eligible for update, you will get a notification saying so. When you get it you can tap “Download Now” and then select “Install Now”. However, there are other ways to update by using Samsung KIES and manual installation. For the manual installation go to Settings->More->About phone->Software updates->Check for software updates.
According to Android Geeks, Samsung is also preparing to release their Android L update for devices such as the Galaxy S5 in late November or early December.

According to Samsung, they already finished the first phase of the Android 4.4.4 update. Some of the eligible devices might already have access to the update while others don’t have, depending on your carrier and where you are from.
It seems that Google wants to finish the rollout of their Android 4.4.4 as soon as possible, since the Android 5.0 Lollipop is right around the corner. The big search engine company has already completed the testing of Android 4.4.4 KitKat on Samsung Galaxy S5 even if the version should be released for this device later this month. The latest available Android version will be released for both Asian (G900I) and European (900F) models. The others models that are included in the October update are: Note 3 LTE GNO005 and Note 3 N900.

However, Samsung doesn’t have yet a schedule for the S4 Mini I9190, S4 Mini Duos I9192, Note 2 LTE N7105, Note 2 N7100, Grand 2 G7105 and Grand 2 Duos G7102.

iPhone 6 Plus vs. LG G3

As in the case of storage options, the Apple product lets you choose among three: 16GB lenovo A369 , 64GB, and 128GB. While the LG handset can offer only two - 16GB and 32GB. If you are more concerned about storage spaces, you should know which smartphone to buy. But wait, G3 has MicroSD slot; hence, it can help increase your storage.
When it comes to RAM, the latest iPhone remains with its 1GB of RAM while G3 lets you choose between 2 GB and 3 GB.
G3 operates with Android 4.4 KitKat in its core, while iPhone 6 Plus runs with iOS 8, which means you'll get to enjoy Touch ID access, health apps, and third-party keyboards.
Talk about popularity, it's the Apple products, not just the iPhone 6 Plus, that get most of the attention from the media and the public. However, this does not mean that these are the only smartphones to consider buying. For one, there's LG G3 that can go head-to-head with one of the newest iPhone.
iPhone 6 Plus vs. LG G3 - Which is the better phone when it comes to specs?
Both handsets are the same with 5.5-inch screen. Actual dimensions for G3 are 5.76 x 2.94 x 0.35 in while it is 6.22 x 3.06 x 0.28 in for iPhone 6 Plus. With the iPhone product being wider in size, it makes it easier for user for hold LG G3 in one hand.
iPhone 6 Plus has lower display resolution at 1920x1080 as opposed to G3's 2560x1440. In terms of camera's resolution lenovo A690, G3 wins in this category as it offers 13 megapixels as against 8 megapixels of iPhone 6 Plus. Not only this. LG G3 also boasts of its laser-based auto focusing feature. Simply tap the subject that you want to focus on and your wish will be its command.
