I really like the feel of this Galaxy S5 Wireless Charging S View Flip Cover. The black leather material is soft and it really dresses up the device. The two-tone look of a black case on a white Galaxy S5 is quite striking.
I mainly use the small S View window to se the time, weather and to take or reject calls. You can swipe to accept a call on the Galaxy S5 and keep the cover closed so you don’t get any face grease on the screen. I occasionally use the camera shortcut for Instagram photos or a quick shot to Facebook, but prefer to open it and use the regular camera app for any important photos.
When using the Galaxy S5 camera it is easy to hold the flip cover down and away from the lens. While using the device the cover folds back or can stay open like a book. I normally fold it all the way back. If you use it like this for a long time there may be a small gap when you close the screen, but it returns to the normal closed position after a few minutes. The weight of the phone is enough to fold the cover all the way back and set it down so you can see the screen and use the phone on a table.

If you hate the hassle of covering that charging port or finding a cord in the dark to charge the Galaxy S5 you’ll love the Galaxy S5 Wireless Charging S View Flip Cover, but it’s not perfect.
The biggest challenge with the Galaxy S5 Wireless Charging S View Flip Cover and the mini charging pad is that the charging stops after it tops off. this is fine for use in an office where you just want to charge up before you head out for the evening, but overnight it means the Galaxy S5 will start to drain and lose 10% or more of the battery life while sitting on the charger.
At $70, plus another $50 for the Wireless Charging Pad mini this setup is not cheap, but you can save by using another Qi compatible charger if you can find one that works. The Nexus 5 wireless charger did not line up right for me to use with the Galaxy S5 Wireless Charging S View Flip Cover or the regular Galaxy S5 Wireless Charging back.
The Nexus 4 wireless charger works, and didn’t turn off when the battery was completely charged, but the angle isn’t great and it can take a few tries to line up the charging area.
Like the normal Galaxy S5 S View Flip Cover users get a new leather back that feels more like a premium product than the dimpled back that comes with the Galaxy S5. The front of this case includes a small window that allows users to see incoming calls, the time and weather as well as steps on a pedometer.
