While Galaxy Note 4 looks impressive, there has to be sort of a "mini" version to directly assault the latest iPhones, which logged four million pre-orders just 24 hours after launch.
Some analysts also thought that the latest entry lenovo K860 in the Galaxy Note series lacks authentic innovation and no breakaway features.
"I think this is mostly an incremental change," Forrester analyst Thomas Husson said.

"What is missing is a total experience on top of the device to really differentiate in the interchangeable Android device ecosystem," Husson added, referring to the closely coupled software and services Samsung needs to distinguish its devices from dozens of cheaper rivals.
However, rumors have it that the Samsung Galaxy S6 release date will not happen this year, but instead will be introduced early 2015.
Reports have also mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy S6 specs will feature a SuperAMOLED display screen and could be the first 4K smartphone on the market.
Samsung is facing the biggest competition in years with the arrival of the bigger iPhone 6 models.
In fact, the unveiling of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was overshadowed by the excitement about the newest offerings from Apple.
Samsung is in need of massive reinforcing following the record-breaking launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus from Apple, Inc. In order to compete, the company is betting much on the Samsung Galaxy S6 release date, and rumors suggest it will feature impressive specs.
While the world's eyes are still on the new flagship smartphones from the Cupertino-based company, this is perhaps the perfect time for the Korean tech giant to reaffirm itself as the king of Android phones.
"Samsung is alone among Android phone manufacturers in being able to turn a consistent and reliable profit from the venture. Motorola makes awesome handsets, but keeps bleeding money. Sony just put a $1.7 billion price on its failure to develop a legitimate mid-range phone portfolio, and HTC is reeling so badly that breaking even is now considered a financial success. LG is doing merely okay. The point about Samsung lenovo A390 is that this company has figured out how to make the most out of a very tricky market and deserves credit for a series of correct decisions that have earned it its current position," wrote Vlad Savov of The Verge.
